I went to the University of Missouri-Rolla which is now called Missouri School of Science and Technology. You can rename it anything you want but it breaks down to the fact that we are a bunch of engineers who deemed St. Patrick the “Patron Saint of Engineers”.  Sooo…if you aren’t from the midwest you might not know that Rolla is THE place to be for St. Patrick’s day celebrations.
