Just a Bunch of Words…
| April 14, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Random Crap |
Amidst the Washi Tape craze that is going on here, other stuff is happening also. It’s good to be back in St. Louis. If you follow hockey, you then know that the Blues are in the Stanley Cup playoffs. If you follow baseball, then you know that today was the Cardinals home opener. It rained all day and the Cards lost to the stupid Cubs. I blame Friday the 13th. I went over to my parents house on Thursday evening after dinner to borrow a sander from my dad. It was awesome. I packed up the kids, I drove 2… Continue reading…
Moving Sucks
| March 21, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Random Crap |
Yep, as the title of this post suggests…moving sucks! Hmm…where to begin? 1. Ryan decided to get hand, foot and mouth disease and be MISERABLE for about 5 days prior to the move. It was super awesome. He couldn’t eat and couldn’t sleep because he was hungry. Score! I started out…TIRED! 2. Utilizing the awesome help of my fantastic girlfriend’s husband…heavy furniture AND our freaking heavy playground/swing set thing was moved on Thursday. The moving of the swing set really did not negatively impact me in any way, shape or form…however the moving of the heavy furniture resulted in this:… Continue reading…
You Can Just Call Me Bobby…
| March 12, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Family |
OK so Ryan is talking up a storm which is great and all. The thing is…he seems to like to replace the “M” sound with a “B” sound… Milk = Bilk (not to be confused in the car for BOOK which he will then shoot you the look from hell and throw the book across the seat until you realize he meant MILK…true story) Cows say “Boo!” instead of MOO Momma = Bobba Which leads us to Mommy = Bobby. I now answer to Bobby. Michael has stared calling me Bobba and so has Freddy…it’s. just. wonderful. Let me tell… Continue reading…
Children’s Sensory Fun–Soft Pom-Poms
| March 8, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Activities, Family |
I mentioned before how much we loved our Water Table! Water is a great sensory tool for kids, especially in the summer! When it got cooler out, I brought our water table inside (empty of course) and then filled it with CRUNCHY hard, dry pasta noodles and let the boys have at it. They scooped and poured and crunched and loved it! To mix things up this time we used colored pom-pom cotton balls! A SOFT sensory object. I bought about 8 bags at the dollar store of these colored fuzzy guys. I dumped them in a small bin and… Continue reading…
I Heart Faces Photo Challenge
| March 6, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Family, Random Crap |
I take a ton of pictures…a ton. I like to think I am pretty, fairly, mostly good at doing something with them. I put them in frames and I make a yearly book for the boys, Michael, well I have 3 of his 5 years of life documented. I want to do better. I also want to take better photos! In order to do so…I rely on I Heart Faces blog. You can find tutorials, Fix it Fridays and their weekly photo challenges there. I thought maybe if I participate more…I will begin to take better photos and then be… Continue reading…
Arizona Hates Me
| February 29, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Family |
It’s official…I have declared that the state of Arizona tried to kill me. Arizona hates me. After you read this and I tell you how much I LOVE MY IN-LAWS…some of you with in-laws from hell may hate me also. Trip down went alright. Flight was delayed an hour before we left but I just took the boys down to an almost empty concourse and they had a whole side emptied out of all the seats as they were upgrading the gate areas and I let them run around and play. And sprawl all out on the floor (new carpet)… Continue reading…

| February 23, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Family |
Today we are boarding a plane (with 2 small children) to fly to Arizona (with 2 small children) to see my parents-in-love, sister/brother-in love and their kids and their kids (with 2 small children). One of our nieces & nephews just had a BABY GIRL earlier this month and I am dying to get my hands on her (with 2 small children in tow). I ask a favor of you all. Please say a prayer that our travels go smoothly (with 2 small children)!!! I would super, duper appreciate it. I have travelled with one. I have travelled with one… Continue reading…
Toddler Valentine’s Day Cards
| February 13, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Crafts, DIY, Holidays, Valentine's Day |
I already shared the cute Pinterest inspired Valentine’s Day Cards for Michael to give to his classmates…but I wanted Ryan to have a few for his toddler friends also. I wanted to steer clear of candy at that age so I came up with this! Pin It I used my Cameo and cut out a tag and manipulated it the way I needed it. I wrote the message “You are my Main Squeeze”, added a few stickers and slapped the tag on a squeezable apple sauce! I am still learning my Cameo so I am sure a seasoned user… Continue reading…
Best. Christmas. Ever.
| December 25, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under Christmas, Family |
This was the Best. Christmas. Ever. Michael and Ryan were AWESOME! Ryan was such a trooper with all the different people and places and missing naps and late, late bedtimes! Every gift Michael opened, he exclaimed “Oh I this is so great and I LOVE YOU (insert gift giver’s name) !” It was FANTASTIC! He also got to go shopping at school for gifts for Freddy, Ryan and I. That was back on November 28th…so needless to say Ryan opened his gift the next day because Michael COULD NOT WAIT to give his brother his gift! It was a slinky… Continue reading…
Children’s Sensory Fun!
| November 23, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under Activities |
Do you remember back this summer I told you that I loved our water table that the boys had? Well I decided to bring that table inside and take advantage of our wall to wall tile floors! No, I didn’t fill it with water…I filled it with dry pasta noodles! That’s right, ziti, rigatoni, egg noodles, farfalle and lasagna noodles. $5 at the dollar store! Please take a moment to notice two things: 1. Ryan’s shirt and the number of hand prints on my oven. I really should clean that but it will just look like that in 20 minutes… Continue reading…
