Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor day are all great holidays that we get together with friends and family and barbeque! How about celebrate in style at your next red, white and blue event with these Patriotic Napkin Rings? My secret to the napkins….bandanas! I use bandanas for almost all my cloth napkin needs! The pair perfectly with these star studded napkin rings! Make sure to scroll down to see how amazing these look on my 4th of July Party Table!
- Burlap Ribbon (Wal-Mart)
- Hot Glue Gun/Glue Sticks
- Red, White and Blue Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brushes
- Curling Ribbon in Red, Silver & Blue
- Wooden Stars
- Bandanas (Hobby Lobby)
I love all things patriotic! I absolutely LOVE the 4th of July holiday as well! This Jean Pocket USA Bunting sign can be used for all things red, white and blue! You can also use it as a simple banner for your mantel, as front door decorations or you can even stuff the pockets and put it to use at your food table! Multi tasking at it’s patriotic finest.
- 2 Pairs of Jeans with similar sized back pockets. (pockets free of designs work best)
- Wooden Stars
- Blue Paint
- White Paint
- Paint brush
- Stencil Brush
- Hot Glue Gun/Glue Sticks
- Alphabet Stencils
Start out by cutting out your pockets. I left the back jean part to actually keep them as functioning pockets. Cut just under the Pocket Seam.
Lay them out flat to get the best placement if they are a bit different size wise. One of my pairs of jeans had slightly bigger pockets.
Next you will stencil your USA on the pockets with white paint. You can use a stencil set that can be picked up at any store that has art supplies or you can use my stencils that I made and used with my Silhouette CAMEO.
This Patriotic One Pan Cake Recipe takes no time at all and will be the HIT of your party or summer BBQ! I’m not actually sure if I should call this a cake or a cobbler or a tart-ish kind of thing or what? Maybe it’s better to just call it a dessert and keep it general? Any way you should decide to classify it, one thing’s for sure… it’s delicious!!! I made it festive for the Patriotic Holidays during the summer, however you can just add one filling and make it year round!
This super simple American Flag Cake is sure to please and it is SO. EASY. TO. MAKE. <—No really, it is so easy you mix everything right in the cake pan! THAT’S right…ONE, count it, ONE dirty dish! Yay!
I start by melting the butter right in the pan as the oven preheats!
Then I mix in all the other ingredients…right in the pan. My mom makes this cake and she made it a few weekends ago with just blueberries and I thought, I could totally make this to look like a flag. So I did! I just added some Cherry Pie filling for the stripes! Bam!

Glitter, glitter glue, glitter tape, glitter card stock, glitter puffy letter stickers, glittery paper stars, and some super tacky double sided tape. I was in love.
