At this point in the holiday season…ok so really on a regular Tuesday for me…all the hustle and bustle starts to take it’s toll on you.  You are tired of lines, tired of wrapping paper, tired of finding Christmas tree needles everywhere in your house…you need a drink {at least I need a drink!}.  I am really happy to share with you another one of my favorite adult beverages!  I made this one so I am extra proud of it!  OK basically it is a white russian with peppermint extract….but it was my idea to add the extract so therefore I coin it the White Christmas before anyone else can!  It pretty much combines my favorite things…coffee and peppermint!  I told you I was on a Peppermint Kick!

Ingredients Needed:

• 1.5 ounces of vodka
• 1 ounce of Kahlua  (did you know I make my own…find that Kahlua recipe here!
• 2 ounces of milk
• 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
• dash of nutmeg
• small candy cane for garnish (optional)

Start out by filling a shaker with ice.  Add vodka, Kahlua and milk and shake until super chilled.  Add extract to your glass and top off with prepared drink to mix.  Garnish with a dash of nutmeg and a small candy cane.

These pair perfectly with my my Peppermint Sandwich Cookies too!  YUM!
