It’s no secret my 5 year old loves letters. It’s also no surprise that he LOVES the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. I mean, a book…about LETTERS! OMG! He can recite it…without the book. He also loves to act out the book with his magnetic letters.
I made him this printable that I just attach to a cheap cookie sheet an then he can use his magnetic letters on the board. He loves it. It works great in the car also because the letters stay stuck to the cookie sheet and he knows the book by heart!
Here is what you will need to make your own!
- My Coconut Tree Printable (may be downloaded from the link below)
- Small cookie sheet
- Magnetic set of alphabet letters
- Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Book
Simply print the printable, have it laminated and enjoy!
Note: I took mine to an office supply store and had them print it on cardstock for me and laminate it right there. Less than $2. If you do the same, be sure to tell the worker that you want it to fit the page with no margins. See the white border around mine? Yeah, I forgot to tell him that and he had laminated it already before I realized! Oh well!
You can also combine all these things as a sweet gift for a young one learning their letters. The book is so fun and catchy it will be sure to be a hit!
Mine sure likes it
Stay tuned…I am working on a Chicka Chicka 1-2-3 printable as well! As always, this printable is free for personal use only. Click the “Download Here” button below to download without a watermark.

Did you ever hear the recording of this read by Ray Charles? Totally awesome, dude! We used it in the school I worked at and my grandkids loved it too. so glad to see it’s still around!
I have not! I am going to look for it now! Surely it’s on You Tube?

Sooooo cute! My two year old is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom obsessed at the moment. Did you attach the print out (glue, magnets, packing tape) to the cookie sheet or do you just have your little one lay it on top?
Hi Tiffany! Once laminated, the print is the extact same width as the cookie sheet and it just fits right in. For your younger one, who likes to pick things up and move them around, I’d recommend some scotch tape rolled on the back! Thanks so much for stopping over! Have a great day!
