A fresh and flavorful guacamole recipe that is great as a party dip on chips, to accompany your tacos or for a Tuesday afternoon snack!  My secret ingredients will have your brain saying, “Hmmm…what makes this so good?” while your taste buds are saying, “Give me more!”  {Did that sound like I should be a commentator on Food Network?}

Cindo de Mayo Guacomole Recipe at thatswhatchesaid.net
I haven’t always been a fan of avocados and guacamole!  {I know, right?!?  blasphemy!}  Avocados have been an acquired taste for me and recently I can’t get enough of them and can’t stop making guacamole!  I had no idea why, but I crave it, like everyday!  So I have mixing up batch after batch, figuring out just the perfect proportions and ingredients and finally found one that I love.  Ryan is a huge fan too!  “Mom, I have some of your Wock-a-mowee?”  It’s even cuter when he actually says it!  :)

Are you wondering what my secret ingredients are?  I thought you were…well let me whisper them to you, but only if you don’t think I am nuts!??  Deal?  OK come in close….cucumbers and salsa out of jar!  I KNOW!  Crazy right?  I promise you though.  The cucumber gives the guacamole this absolute perfect freshness and bite and the salsa gives it a whole new level of flavor!  Seriously…give it a try…I know you will love it too!

RECIPE NOTES:

*Pickling cucumbers or English cucumbers work great here because they have very fine seeds. If using regular cucumbers, remove seeds first.
**Choose your favorite salsa flavor. A nice smokey salsa works great here!
