Just a Bunch of Words…
| April 14, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Random Crap |
Amidst the Washi Tape craze that is going on here, other stuff is happening also. It’s good to be back in St. Louis. If you follow hockey, you then know that the Blues are in the Stanley Cup playoffs. If you follow baseball, then you know that today was the Cardinals home opener. It rained all day and the Cards lost to the stupid Cubs. I blame Friday the 13th. I went over to my parents house on Thursday evening after dinner to borrow a sander from my dad. It was awesome. I packed up the kids, I drove 2… Continue reading…
Arizona Hates Me
| February 29, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Family |
It’s official…I have declared that the state of Arizona tried to kill me. Arizona hates me. After you read this and I tell you how much I LOVE MY IN-LAWS…some of you with in-laws from hell may hate me also. Trip down went alright. Flight was delayed an hour before we left but I just took the boys down to an almost empty concourse and they had a whole side emptied out of all the seats as they were upgrading the gate areas and I let them run around and play. And sprawl all out on the floor (new carpet)… Continue reading…
“Cookies For Santa’ Plate & Glass
| December 22, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under Christmas, Crafts, DIY |
(If you are reading this in email there is another post below this one!) It’s day 25!!! And I am only 2 days behind schedule. (story of my life!) So I have to start out with a little story. Freddy likes sweets. Like as in, I make a batch of cookies on Saturday morning and by Saturday early evening the said batch of cookies will be gone. That time frame is including Freddy showing self-restraint. If he weren’t trying not to eat them, they would be gone in an hour. He also munches. A LOT. Especially at night. So Michael… Continue reading…
Spangenblurbs 11/20

Without further ado…the crazy things said and done around my house this past week! This week has been kind of tech-savvy related. (Be glad not poop related!) Michael Michael’s new thing is to add a .com to everything. M: “Mom can you please download me a SpongeBob Game on your phone?” C: “I’m not sure they have a SpongeBob game.” M: “Just type in spongebobgame.com and see what comes up!” That same mentality was also used to tell me to look up abc.com, 123.com, funwithletters.com and then while cooking dinner, I threw the box away (shhhh…yes I use box stuff)… Continue reading…
Giving Thanks Jar
| November 8, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under DIY, Family, Home Decor |
Thanksgiving seems to be the forgotten holiday. We enjoy everything Halloween and push right on to Christmas. I mean, they were putting out Christmas stuff at Hobby Lobby in JULY! Yes, like when it was 2 degrees shy of the face of the sun here, they were decking the halls with boughs of holly. CRAZY. I LOVE Christmas time but I also want to enjoy Thanksgiving and be Thankful! Michael is learning all about seasons and the holidays that go along with them so we took some time today to make a “Be Thankful Jar” and talk about Thanksgiving. Side… Continue reading…
Vehicle Upgrades

This is a post filled with pictures of my kids and not much else. Just putting that out there at the start! Freddy & I unfortunately are still driving the same rides, but the kids totally moved up in the world. We gave Michael a new bike for his birthday! It was much needed! Which means that Ryan got this: We enjoyed the wonderful weather and Michael rode his bike for what seemed like forever. Ryan rode his bike And then Freddy (my third child) had to get in on the action and give the new ride a twirl. Michael… Continue reading…
Our Three Year Anniversary
| September 20, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under Family |
Today is our three year wedding anniversary! I had so much fun on our wedding day. Best party I ever threw! I wish we could get married again each year…but without paying for it again! Oh to party like that again would be wonderful! Did I ever tell you that I did a rope swing at my reception? Like in my dress and everything? Well, I did! Here is proof! That is my sister next to me! We had our reception in Architecture Hall at The City Museum in St. Louis. If you ever get to St. Louis you HAVE to… Continue reading…
Welcome to the Family Part 2
| August 18, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under Family |
Well last time in “Welcome to the Family” I introduced you to everyone living in my house. Well now it’s time to introduce you to my clan whom are not living with me. Freddy has two older daughters, from his earlier days. If you happened to read my “About” page, you will recall that I compare my life to the show Modern Family. So in addition to a husband who is 18 years older than me, I have two step-daughters that are 29 and 25 (26 in like 2 weeks) and one daughter’s girlfriend who is 30 (31 in a few weeks). Yep! They… Continue reading…

Welcome to the Family
| May 2, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under Family |
Let’s start with introductions, shall we? We will keep this post just about my immediate household. We have to leave more fun for later, right? Here are the loves of my life all on one couch cushion! Freddy, Michael and Ryan. Freddy loves basketball, the Minnesota Vikings and sweets! I bake cookies in my house and they “disappear” within an hour! He is the kindest man I have ever met in my life with the biggest heart. He has the worst camera face. I rarely ever get a good picture of him, the one above and below are of the lucky… Continue reading…
