Bacon and Onion Tart Appetizer
A simple twist on a classic Alsatian Bacon & Onion Tart (Tarte Flambee) Crunchy flatbread crackers replace the crispy tart shell and the combination of bacon and onions will have your taste buds dancing!

Herbs de Provence

olive oil

butter
Instructions
Slice Onions in equal size slices.
In Skillet over Medium High Heat, add butter and oil. When butter melts add sliced onions
Stir onions to coat evenly with oil/butter. Keep attention on onions and keep stirring until they reach a deep caramel brown color
Chop bacon jerky and add to onions, Stir.
Spread thin layer of cheese on flatbread crackers and add layer of onion mixture.
Top with a pinch of Herbs de Provence.
