The first year it was pine-cones gathered from around the village then adorned with glitter, ribbon and charms which they sold, with home made paperchains.

The second year my middle child did pine-cones again but her younger sister made glitter cinnamon dough reindeer and star ornaments which went down really well.

The third year the pine-cones made their annual appearance but pompom pals made by the youngest child, along with more paperchains and knitted tiny stockings tree decorations were added to the mix.

Each year, after the cost of any materials has been removed, the girls have made a nice little profit of between £7 and £11 ($8.58 to $13.48) each – not that all of it reaches home, as the temptation of hot chocolate and roasted chestnuts is hard to overcome on a cold December night :D

I showed my youngest (Little Mudlet) your posts and she was so excited about them. I suspect we will be starting to build up her ‘stock’ in the next few days :D
