Thanks so much for sharing the how-to make a smaller box from a orphan box top or bottom. I am OCD about a proper sized box for gifts. I spend hours at Christmas measuring, marking, cutting and re-gluing gift boxes. Your trick is so EASY, and looks great, too. Got me wanting to buy a package of gift boxes just to resize them all!! Can’t wait till next Christmas now!

Seriously needed this last night. I was wrapping the last bit of the Christmas presents, and my roommates cat decided to sit in the box (as they love to do). I thought nothing of it until she squatted!! Needless to say, I was down a box half. Doing this as soon as I get home today to salvage the last box half! You ROCK, Cheryl.
