This was a great addition to our Super Bowl party kids and adults loved them. Super easy but I have a way to make it even easier for you. When you are ready to shape the footballs no need for gloves or butter . If you wet your hands under the kitchen faucet nothing sticks and it’s so easy to shape. It works great and no mess at all!

Hi Jack, I left them in the pan just on the counter. You want them to cool so you can touch them without burning yourself but if they are too hot they will not keep their form. Cooling times will vary by location.
