I love fall colors! I also love the leaves…when they are not in my yard for me to rake! I’d love for you to see how I made this super cute fall candle centerpiece with inexpensive supplies! Perfect for your table centerpiece or to adorn your fall mantel!
Faux leaves may be one of my most favorite things to use to decorate for fall. They are so versatile, add that perfect punch of red and orange fall foliage aspect to your decor and since they are faux they won’t crumble into a million pieces when you touch them!

Supplies Needed for Fall Candle Centerpiece:
- Candles (These are from IKEA) You can also find pillar candles on Amazon.
- Bag of fake leaves from Amazon.
- Burlap or burlap ribbon
- Charger or Plate. Use what you have or you can find my favorite wood trays on Amazon
- twine, bakers twine, yarn or string
- Scissors
I have some orange, brown, and natural twine in the photo above but as I got assembling, I realized I didn’t like any of those and just used a strip of the burlap to tie the leaves on! You can certainly use the twine if you prefer that!
There really is no rhyme or reason to this. I just played with the leaves and the burlap and came up with some combinations that I liked together.
Fall Candle Combination Ideas:
- Leaf with twine
- 2 colors of leaves with twine
- Burlap ribbon
- Burlap ribbon with leaf on top tied by twine
- Burlap ribbon with 2 leaves tied by twine
- Candle without any decoration
- Candle with burlap twine only in a bow
- Candle Wrapped in zig-zag pattern with burlap twine
TIP: I cut a piece of burlap and then removed a few of the strings along the edges to give a frayed look. You can do the same with the ribbon so it looks more rustic!
How to Make a Fall Candle Centerpiece
I wrapped the frayed burlap piece around the candle and applied a leaf and tied it with a string of burlap! Here you can see one candle with just a leaf and one with both burlap and a leaf.
Then I threw in one with only a burlap ribbon! I put it towards the top since the candle was in the back of my centerpiece!
And lastly, don’t be afraid to use more than one leaf on a single candle!
There you have it. So easy but so festive! This would look great on your mantle or on your Thanksgiving day table! Mix and match and do what you like! I love projects with flexibility!
