I would let them sit out in your house overnight to get to the same temperature. Then put them in your jar but leave the lid off for another day. That shoudl hopefully work. If the acorns were wet they need to dry out first!

It had just stormed and they were all over the place. I think they’re baby ones because they’re green, but they are full size. My question is….I put them in a apothecary jar and it steamed up over night. How do you think I can prevent that? It doesn’t look like yours steamed up the jar.
