In reply to Sandra. Walmart sell replacement mirror sheets for auto side mirrors in the auto care section, it's just cut and peel. 1" X 6" works great in a paper towel roll. 1 sheet did 5 kaleidoscopes for us. we had a lot of fun, and it reflects perfect. $6

I love the concept, I’m trying to come up with multi age crafts on a library budget and we certainly have the cardboard tubing and plastic to spare! But I’ve tried both the most silver local card I could find and tinfoil over card and it still doesn’t seem to reflect enough to get the right effect. Any suggestions for other reflective materials to try? Thanks so much for the awesome project ideas :)

How cool is this?!! I will make one for my DD’s BFF’s little man. SO afraid he will take it apart tho as he LOVES to find out how things work. He is only 2 but you would think he is 5 by the way he acts. VERY smart due to a GREAT mommy!!! Thank you so much for sharing such Awesome creativity so freely!!!

Oooh this is way cool!
We recently made a kaleidoscope from a kit which was easy and fun, but this is even better using scrap materials! We could make one each!
