Oh I am so excited to be hosting a Cut It Out Frames Giveaway! I absolutely heart them. I was thrilled when these three 16 x 20 Brooklyn Frames showed up on my doorstep for me to review and create something fun with! The minute I saw them I knew I had big plans for them! I had to get my organization on with them! I’d love for you to see how I used these awesome frames to organize my life a bit better! To add some icing on the cake there is a $50 Gift Card Giveaway as well for a lucky reader!
Frames can be used for so much more than just photographs! I am using them in my breakfast room which is attached to my kitchen. All the kids’ school papers, mail and forms end up here and I had to get them off my counters and organized a bit better!
I started off by painting my frames with Rustoleum Magnetic Primer. I did several coats, maybe 3 or 4. Then I sprayed with spray paint. I didn’t want to brush on paint because I wanted the layers to be thin so the magnetic primer would work through the paint. The magnetic primer is the dark gray so make sure you get good coverage with your spray paint!
Then I placed my calendar in one of them. You can find more details on how I organize my calendar with washi tape here.
I love how I can still stick papers and notes to the frame itself with magnets! I also may have to spice this guy up a bit with a color or a stencil! There is more “white” than I was anticipating! :)
The next one I added a piece of pegboard! It now holds all of our scissors, pens, markers, box tops, mail file and washi tape for the calendar! I love that I can easily change the configuration of this frame as our needs change with the school year! I also screwed up some metal bins that I purchased from Pick Your Plum and used the magnetic sheets from my Silhouette to make names for each of the bins!
Last but certainly not least I created a bulletin board to showcase all the small people’s artwork and school projects! I have a few more fun ideas for this frame to come!
This guy is on a wall of his own so the artwork can spill all over the place and the other two are placed side by side for convenience.
And now for the best part! A Giveaway for a $50 Gift Card to Cut it Out! Imagine the possibilities! Please use the widget below to enter. Comments via email will not be accepted. By entering this giveaway you are agreeing to my official giveaway rules Giveaway open to US Residents only. .
I was given these frames free of charge to review for this post. All opinions and project details are my own. You may read my full disclosure here.

I really like the Chandler – the big one. I don’t have a portrait of all 3 of my kids together and would love to do something big with them.

I love the Chandler. I’d probably get one of the larger frames to do the peg board. Great way to organize the little things that usually sit around on the sewing table.

I love the bulletin board! I have a bunch of cork coasters that I’m having a hard time trying to decide how to use, you just gave me the great idea to add them to the edge of a bulletin board with a gorgeous frame, extending out, like bubbles being blown from the frame itself! I also have a question, how well does the magnetic paint actually work?

I’d like to create a cross-stitch “Office Sweet Office” sampler and then frame it with this and use it at the office to attach notes, to-do lists, etc.
