| April 10, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Crafts, DIY, Organization |
Remember like a million years ago I told you how I participated in C.R.A.F.T.’s Package Pals, and that I’d share my tutorial???? And I never did, because I had to go and move and Stuff??? I don’t like being a liar so today, I will share with you how I made the To-Do List that I sent Anna as part of her package! My original inspiration came from Beckie at Infarrantly Creative! She shared her tutorial at U-Create and I just adapted it from a grocery list to a To-Do list and adapted the hardware to what I had on… Continue reading…
I Heart Faces Photo Challenge

I take a ton of pictures…a ton. I like to think I am pretty, fairly, mostly good at doing something with them. I put them in frames and I make a yearly book for the boys, Michael, well I have 3 of his 5 years of life documented. I want to do better. I also want to take better photos! In order to do so…I rely on I Heart Faces blog. You can find tutorials, Fix it Fridays and their weekly photo challenges there. I thought maybe if I participate more…I will begin to take better photos and then be… Continue reading…
Package Pals Fun!
| March 1, 2012 | Posted by Cheryl under Crafts, DIY, Uncategorized |
I signed up with Jamie from C.R.A.F.T. to participate in her first ever Package Pals. Idea is simple, she pairs you up with a fellow crafter/blogger and and you make each other a crafty package and mail it to one another! I love getting mail that’s not junk or a bill. I kind of think that Jamie had a sixth sense when she paired me up with Anna from Directions Not Included. It took me all about 0.4876 seconds to realize that Anna might just be my twin! I spent an evening reading her fabulous blog that documents her crafty… Continue reading…

I was super excited to get an envelope in the mail from Janette of The Johanson Journey. Inside was a surprise item from Pick Your Plum! You all know PYP now because I just had an oober fantastic giveaway from them a couple of days ago. They have a deal a day and you have to act fast because once their supply is gone…it’s gone! Let me tell you, I have bought several things from PYP and they aren’t joking! Sometimes the deals on the items are so awesome, the deal is sold out before I even get to it! … Continue reading…
Up-Cycled Sweater Camera Strap Cover

I am always up for a good challenge, so when Steph from Crafting in the Rain extended the opportunity to participate in her series “Make a Splash” I was totally game. The concept is that she will give us a secret supply item, and we have to make something that includes that item. I love it! I loved it even more when she said that our first secret supply item was SWEATERS! Ever since I made that cute coffee cozy from a sweater sleeve, I have been itching to up-cycle a sweater again! This time, I found a great cable… Continue reading…
Made In America Challenge Update
| September 16, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under Random Crap |
Happy Friday to you everyone! I just wanted to give you an update to my Made In America Challenge that I posted a month back. I told you I would give you a run down on what I discovered while attempting to source “Made in America” products while on every shopping adventure! Overall thought for the challenge: HARD, HARD, HARD! Why do we make it so hard to locate and buy things from our own country??? Pricing thoughts for the challenge: When I did find products in the grocery store that were made in America the cost difference between them… Continue reading…
Made in America Challenge!
| August 16, 2011 | Posted by Cheryl under Random Crap |
I recently stumbled across a chain forward email speaking about a piece Diane Sawyer did on the amount of household items we have that are made in other countries and showcases the fractional increase in cost if we would have in fact purchased all the same items that were made in the USA. It also talks about how that extra money you spent for made in America products actually HELPS America. Anyway, I couldn’t find the said forward again in my email but figured I could find something about it online and sure enough I just had to search “Diane Sawyer Made in America”… Continue reading…
