Upcycled Garden Plant Markers

To celebrate Plant Something Day, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day® is encouraging you to #PlantSomething in your own backyard.

So let’s get planting!  These Cork Garden Markers are so easy and such a great way to get your kids involved!  I of course love wine and always save the corks like the good craft hoarder I am.  Then I used kitchen skewers for the stakes!  So easy.  No glue needed – the skewers are pretty stuck in there!

Supplies Needed for Upcycled Cork Garden Markers:

  • Corks
  • Kabob Skewers
  • Marker

Start by inserting the pointed end of the skewer into your cork.  If you use the hole from the wine bottle opener it’s easier to insert!

Then using your marker just write what you are planting!

I don’t have a good spot in my yard for a garden but I have these giant pots that work great!  I sit them around my patio so we can plant flowers, veggies and herbs!  After I planted my basil seed tape and some other seeds, I used my cork garden markers to organize them!

Planting is dirty work and Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day® is an awesome way to clean up!  Meyer’s Clean Day® offers a collection of household products made with essential oils from flowers and herbs that smell nice, but really pack a punch against daily dirt and grime. All are Earth-friendly, cruelty-free and not tested on animals. Since I am a big fan of upcycling and recycling it makes me so happy that Meyer’s Clean Day® uses concentrated, biodegradable formulas and at least 25% post-consumer plastic in their bottles…which are also recyclable!  They also use materials from renewable plant resources whenever possible!  I’m in love!Cork Garden Plant Markers-9

So what are you going to get out and plant?!  For cleanup head to MrsMeyers.com to choose your favorite products and $5 will be donated to the American Community Garden Association to help grow new community gardens across the country! {May 9- June 15)  It’s a great time to get planting

How cute are these? What a great way to reuse something you’d throw away anyway!

    • Thanks Leslie! I love to give use to old things! I also love wine so this works out just perfectly! Have a great weekend!
